• The base: We use high-quality brass for its durability and heft, ensuring your jewelry feels as significant as it looks.
• The plate: Each piece is finished with a thick layer of 18k gold to provide that signature deep luster.

How to Care for Your ỌKỤ Pieces

• Last on, first off: Apply all scents, lotions, and hairsprays before putting on your jewelry. Chemicals found in perfumes and cosmetics can react with the plating and cause it to fade.
• Keep it dry: Remove your pieces before swimming, or showering. Chlorine and saltwater (especially) are the natural enemies of gold plating.
• Proper storage: When not in use, store your jewelry in the original ỌKỤ pouch or a jewelry box. 
• Gentle cleaning: To take off (makeup) stains, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners or polishing cloths treated with abrasives, as these can strip away the gold layer.
